Our story

The Story Behind ChurchShare

It started with three PA systems sitting in the corner of a church.

I remember visiting a church and noticing three perfectly good PA systems and some moving head lights, all sitting unused. The church had upgraded its equipment, and when I asked about the old gear, someone simply said, "Oh, we'll sort that out one day."

At the time, I thought how wonderful it was to see a church so blessed with resources.

But the more I thought about it, the more it challenged me.

Because somewhere else, another church was probably praying for exactly that equipment.

Across the country, churches are being planted, communities are gathering, and people are stepping out in faith, often with very little. Meanwhile, other churches have cupboards, storerooms and corners filled with equipment and resources they no longer need.

It's not that anyone is being deliberately wasteful. Life gets busy. Things get put aside. And before you know it, something that could be a blessing to someone else has been gathering dust for years.

What if we could change that?

What if churches with more than they need could freely give to churches with less?

What if a church plant didn't have to spend money on a PA system because another church had one sitting unused?

What if generosity became a way of connecting churches, sharing resources and strengthening the wider Church?

There's something wonderfully Kingdom-minded about that. A generosity that isn't about what we can get, but what we can give. One where the rising tide really does lift all boats.

That's why we created ChurchShare.

A simple, free way for churches to offer equipment and resources they no longer need, and for churches who need them to ask.

No selling. No buying. Just churches helping churches.

Because sometimes the answer to one church's prayer is already sitting in another church's storeroom.

ChurchShare. Your 'no longer needed' could be someone else's answered prayer.
